Fruit: a hairy capsule 2-2.5 cm with 10-15 beaked segments.

The name Velvetleaf accurately describes the feel of the leaves.
The plant is also known as:
Indian mallow (native to India) and
pie-maker, as the fruit resembles the crimped edges of a piecrust.
